Taibo Bacar Rocks the runway at MB Fashion Week Africa + Front Row Live Comments

And he did it! 

Taibo Bacar showed his collection earlier this evening at the Melrose Arch, in front of an awe-struck audience, ending with a well deserved standing ovation. But then again, who of us expected any less?

I know I didn't.

You might recognize some faces of the models there, and, as expected, his side-kick/business partner Tatiana Ismael graced the runway in some of his most striking ensembles.

I've gotta say, I love the warmth of the collection, the colour palette, deep blues, warm earth tones, the modest lace, the sheers - a "must" in Taibo's ranges - the attention to detail, the fit, elegance. The movement, the right amount of shine and contrasts, without being pretentious.

This woman accentuates her curves, flaunts her goods but in a classy way.

The highlight for me, besides all of the ^^ above, is the use of the shwe-shwe, or, as we say in our country "Capulana". This has me mad in love with the way the cuts have been made in each garment, so that it wouldn't loose it's essence and feel. Great tailoring.
