Her Spring Summer 2012 collection, "Flower in the Desert" was unveiled recently, showing amazing tailoring skills. One word about this collection? Fashionable . Taibo Bacar Besides from being one of the best designers in Mozambique, Taibo happens to be a very talented, gifted, fashion driven man, born and raised in Mozambique. He grew surrounded by fabrics and sewing machines, watching his mother tailor clothes for her own clients. I believe that is where his love for fashion began. Taibo has been in the fashion business for a few years, having won the award of Best Established Designer in Mozambique Fashion Week 2008, he also became a very international Mozambican fashion designer, having participated in the Milan Fashion Week last year. Taibo Bacar signs two labels: Amalia's Garden and Taibo Bacar . Taibo has participated in various fashion events, including the Milan Fashion Week , Arise Africa Fashion Wee k, Audi Joburg Fashion Week , Fashion Business Angola , and latest in the Botswana Colour In The Desert Fashion Week , among others.

Isis Mbaga Is our very own Mozambican Fashion Designer, has been working in the Fashion Industry since 2005, when even the same industry was almost nonexistent in the country. Also known as a renowned fashion journalist, has launched a book named "Retalhos de Tecido e Arte" ( Patchwork of Fabric and Art ). She also works in other areas, namely, production of fashion events, coordination of projects (competitions and exhibitions) workshops, she has participated in five editions of Mozambique Fashion Week, Vocational training for three months in Paris, participation in the biggest African fashion event, the International Festival of African Fashion (Niger-Niamey), among others.
