It finally happened!! To best explain I will quote a post I made on Facebook last night. It took two minutes. Maybe a little bit more maybe a little less. But it was so fast and then it was gone. I experienced a pocketful of emotions ranging from excitement, happiness, pride, to fear, disappointment and lack of confidence. Its alright, by the third time i think i should be used to it. Founded in 2008, MURADE - named after her Father's name, is a clothing brand.

Hey everyone So, Mozambique Fashion Week is happening in less than two weeks. Saying this outloud is way more frightening to me than to you, I guess, but It's also exciting. The very best fashion designers in Africa will showcase their newest collections, and so will be, greatly as I am sure, our very own, Taibo Bacar . He will be presenting his new collection: Hot Winter, Cold Summer - Alternative Collection, named: 1975 - The Year Of Change (Samora Machel). I am excited just by saying it! So, who watched the Emmys? I know I didn't but first thing I did yesterday was peek on the best and worst dressed of the night. Red , of course, was the star of the night, a dozen ladies wore red gowns. Let's see the pictures, shall we? Kerry Washington was my absolute winner of the night (emmy or not), she was ... outstanding in a gown designed by one of my favorite designers, Zuhair Murad . Oh my I can't stop just drooling over this dress. Styled with a red clutch, little or almost no accessories, she shined the whole night.

  Leila Luliana Da Costa Vieira Lopes, the New Miss Universe, as I am sure the whole universe knows, is from Angola, African country, just around the corner of Mozambique. Leila was born in Benguela, Angola. Being a business management student in England, Leila was then crowned Miss Angola UK, back in October 2010, which generated a controversy within the Angolan community in the UK, stating that she allegedly was not a resident there.

Taibo Bacar Besides from being one of the best designers in Mozambique, Taibo happens to be a very talented, gifted, fashion driven man, born and raised in Mozambique. He grew surrounded by fabrics and sewing machines, watching his mother tailor clothes for her own clients. I believe that is where his love for fashion began. Taibo has been in the fashion business for a few years, having won the award of Best Established Designer in Mozambique Fashion Week 2008, he also became a very international Mozambican fashion designer, having participated in the Milan Fashion Week last year. Taibo Bacar signs two labels: Amalia's Garden and Taibo Bacar . Taibo has participated in various fashion events, including the Milan Fashion Week , Arise Africa Fashion Wee k, Audi Joburg Fashion Week , Fashion Business Angola , and latest in the Botswana Colour In The Desert Fashion Week , among others.
