In July I have had the opportunity to meet Fred Sathal during the AFI Fastrack Seminar, where students and representatives from Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion Design such as myself attended, as well as other Fashion Institutions. She showed us a slideshow with images of her creations. The french designer is nothing short of Extraordinary, her work speaks miles, her work is just absolutely amazing.

Hello world, first of all I would like to apologize for the time I took to upload the blog again, I don't have internet anymore and crunch time mode is on: Exams are here! But I took a little break just to post this gorgeous collection from a designer who has been featured in this blog before: Mimi Plange! (Click here to view first post about this amazing designer).

And he did it!  Taibo Bacar showed his collection earlier this evening at the Melrose Arch, in front of an awe-struck audience, ending with a well deserved standing ovation. But then again, who of us expected any less? I know I didn't.

As some of you may know, I am a current 1st year (almost finished!!!) Alumni at the Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion Design , and am absolutely LOVING every second of it. Anyway, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Africa has started, and a former Elizabeth Galloway Alumni, Kim Gush , presented her range on the Fasttrack section, yesterday, 24th October 2012. Take a look!

So, first of all I will admit my major girl crush on Marion Cotillard . She is Merveilleuse . Classy. Chic. She is just gorgeous. I love her. Ok enough gushing over her, maybe because I'm pissed that Solange straightened her hair, but anyway, Dior chose Marion Cotillard , who happens to be one of their Brand Ambassadors, to be featured on their first in-store magazine. In other words, if you happen to be in Paris, New York, or anywhere around the world, and visit/purchase anything from their boutiques, you will take one of these home. Take a look at the stunning photo shoot, followed by a documentary short video of her handbag campaign + this photo shoot. She is seen wearing Dior's iconic and timeless pieces/styles. This is why I Love fashion.

So, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Africa will have its inaugural season now from the 23 to the 28th of October in Johannesburg, followed by the AFI Fashion Awards on the 28th of October. And I couldn't be more thrilled to have the confirmation, now that the Final Designers list came out, that Mozambique will be represented by two of the best designers we have, and both have been mentioned in this blog: Taibo Bacar with his namesake brand and Eliana Murargy with her brand MURADE . So, when I heard that miss Solange Piaget Knowles was just a mere 50kms away from me, in Cape Town, doing a photoshoot for @ELLEmagazineSA I got all teenage-fan-wants-to-meet-one-of-her-fashion-icons-MODE . I was histerical and telling everyone around me that " SOLANGE is heeeeeereeee "! But oh well, like the rest of the world, I had to wait for the magazine to go for sale, for two long months. And here it is, and it is awesome, and I bought it and her interview was the first thing I read. Take a look at the stunning cover:

Happy 2012 everyone.Wow.... long time no blog, right? ;) For me the year is going in such fast pace, i can't even begin to describe it. I have news, and they're right around the corner, but I'm keeping it to myself for a while. Just cross your fingers for me will you?
